EXTRAPULMONARY
COMPLICATION OF CHILDREN MYCOPLASMA PNEUMONIA Wang Xiaowen, Le Jinghao, Dglinu Department of Pediatrics, People’s Hospital of
Xingjiang Autonomous Region Urumpi, China Objective: To investigate the possible pathogenesis of
extrapulmonary the complication of mycoplasmal pneumonia with special
emphasis laid on the analysis of the pathogenesis of central nervous system
involvement. Methods: To analyze 81 patients in the department
confirmed with mycoplasmal pneumonia after chest x-ray and serum mp-ym
test. Results: Of all the 81 cases, combined extrapulmonary
complication cases make up 46 cases, accounting for 56% of the total, among
which combined liver expansion and liver damage cases are 12,accounting for
14.8% cardiovascular involvement cases are 22, accounting for 27.16%; and
central nervous system involvement cases are 12, accounting for 14.8% in
addition to the diversification found in central nervous system
expressions. Conclusion: As some patients show no sign of respiratory tract
infection but get onset directly from the nervous system, consideration
shall be taken of the possible mycoplasmal infection when bacteria and
virus can not be explained away in the case of some patients who suffer
from protracted course of the disease or whose illness is deteriorated or
who have central nervous system expressions.
