Liu Zhenhuan Health Hospital For Women and Children, Nanhai, Guang Dong, China

Objective: To investigate the best therapy of early intervention on newborn HIE (Hypoxia Ischemic Encephalopathy).

Methods: From 1995 to 1999, 80 patients with HIE were randomly divided into two groups, 50 in the treatment group and 30 in the control group. In the treatment group of 50 cases were given hyoscine 0.01 - 0.03mg /kg and adding 5% glucose 30ml intravenous dripping per day, 10 - 15 days is a course. In tramuscular injection 1000 Nerve Grow Factor per day, 30 days is a course. In the control group of 30 cases were given 0.1/d Citicoline Sodium Injection and adding 5% glucose 30ml intravenous dripping. 10 - 15 days is a course, Cerebrolysin injection 5ml adding 5% glucose 50ml intravenous dripping. 15 days is a course. The other treatment is same.

Results: Treatment time is six months .in the treatment group Six cases who one years old SKULL CT had encephalatrophy, circumscribed cerebromalacia. In control group 21 cases had encephalatrophy and circumscribed cerebromalacia. There was significant difference (p<0.01). In the treatment group and control group, quotient of development and remote conseguences incidence rate were 80.611.2, 51.328.0, and 60%, 73%, two group has significant difference (p<0.01).

Conclusion: Hyoscine associated with nerve grow factor application antibrain damage there was better action on HIE patients.
