STUDY OF UMBILICAL CORD BLOOD TRANSPLANTATION IN
IMMUNODEFICIENT MICE MODEL Wang J X, Lan J C, Liu C L et al. General
Hospital of Lan Zhou Military Area Command Lan Zhou, China Objective: To observe the
effects of umbilical cord blood transplantation in immuno-deficient mice
and consult for clinical transplantation as well as the funding of
umbilical cord blood bank. Methods:To transplant
mononuclear cell, or mononuclear cell freezed in liquid nitrogen, or
mononuclear cell with plasma which all came from human umbilical cord
blood, to immunodeficient mice, which had received a lethal dose 60Co-rays
radiation the establishment and reconstruction of stem cell were observed. Result: The survival transfusion
of umbilical cord blood is 1.0~2.0*106 cell per mice both fresh
and freezed cells. But there shows some difference in stem cell
estabishment between fresh and freezed cord blood. Conclusion: Human umbilical cord
blood riched with stem cells can be successfully transplanted into mice and
reconstruct blood in mice, the stem cells number in one umbilical cord
blood can be transplanted into one child who weights not more than 30kg.
Transfusion of umbilical cord blood plasma is benifit for recipient in
blood recovery.
