Peculiarities
of lungs interstitial damages in children from zone of ecological
catastrophe – Aral Sea region Mazhitova
Z, Kissamiyeva B Kazakh State Medical University, Almaty, Kazakhstan Objective: Aim of investigation – study some clinical
and roentgenological peculiarities of lungs interstitial damages in
children from Aral Sea region (ASR). Methods and Results: 641 children in age of
4-16 y.old and living in ASR. Analysis of complex investigation had showed,
that signs of chronic hypoxia were observed in 81,3% children. The majority of children
(65,3%) complain of the cough: dry (6,4%), constant (18,7%), rare (23,4%),
with secretion of poor slimy phlegm (16,8%). Breathlessness, which
intensifies during physical loading, was detected in 40,6% children;
changes of nail-bones on type of drumsticks and watch crystals – in 24,5%
patients. Deformation of chest as funnel-shaped was in 11,1% cases, as
carinate – in 6,5% and with protrusion of sternum – in 0,8%. By percussion
of lungs: pulmonary sound with box-note shade was detected in 67,5%
children. By auscultation of lungs: hard breathing was sounded in 67,5%
examined children, contraction of sniff and outward breath phases, on type
of ”crackle of cellophane” in lower parts of lungs – in 18,1%.
Roentgenological picture of lungs in children is present by reinforcement
(51,6%) and deformation (78,3%) of pulmonary picture, net deformation
(6,3%), small local shadows (3,7%), distension (43,3%), hardening (59,2%)
and absence of normal structure of lungs roots. Conclusion: Clinical signs and roentgenological picture of lungs in
children from zone of ecological catastrophe testify about availability of
interstitial damages in pulmonary tissue.
