Objective: To observe
the clinical effects of inhalation of terbutaline.
Methods: 42 asthmatic
children inhaled terbutaline 500 μg, 30 cases inhaled albuterol
300 μg as the control group. Before and 20 min after inhalation,
FEV1, PEF and total airway resistance (R5) were measured by use of
Jaeger-IOS-MasterScreen.
Results: FEV1 and PEF
increased after inhalation in two groups (P>0.05), and R5 decreased (P<0.001).
Conclusion: Inhalation of
terbutaline and albuterol can improve respiratory functions of children
with asthma. The improvement of R5 was superior of FEV1 and PEF.
