Objective: To understand
the pathological changes outside Lungs caused by mycoplasma pneumoniae.
Methods: Clinical data
of 160 hospitalized children from year 2000 to 2001 suffering from
mycoplasma pneumoniae were analyzed retrospectively.
Results: 52 cases of
pathological changes outside lungs were found out of 160 cases. Among them
37 cases had the CNS injury, 22 cases had heart injury, 16 cases had
disorders of digestive system, 10 cases had abnormal liver function, 6
cases had the kidney changes, 3 cases had blood changes, 21 cases had MODS.
Early treatment with Azithromysin and Hormone can reduce the period of
hospitalization and prevent some of the pathological changes outside Lungs.
Conclusion: In recent
years the incidence of sepsis following mycoplasma pneumoniae was arising,
and pathological changes outside Lungs happen more frequently. More
attention to effective treatment should be paid to.
