Objective: In order to investigated the level of plasma lipid,
lipoprotein, apolipoprotein (apo) in children with family of coronary heart
disease (CHD).
Methods: The concentrations of plasma lipids were determined
between 83 children with
family of CHD and 83 normal controls.
Results: Compared with control group, the levels of triglyceride, total cholesterol, low density
lipoprotein-cholesterol, apoB100, lipoprotein (a) were higher , high
density lipoprotein- cholesterol, apoA I, apoE were lower in children with
family of CHD (P<0.05). There were no significant statistically in blood
lipids between boys and girls in children with family of coronary heart
disease. Compared with family of nonpremature CHD, there had more significant
lipids metabolism abnormalities in children with family of premature CHD. When
these items were applied to discriminate whether there parents got CHD or
not, a very high positive rate were found, it was more apparently in
premature CHD.
Conclusion:
There is abnormality of lipids metabolism in
children with the family of CHD .It is significant in children with family
of premature CHD.
