THE LEVEL OF BLOOD
GLUCOSE AND ITS CORRECTION IN CHILDREN WITH THE SIMPLE OBESITY

Objective: In order to investigated the level of blood glucose and its
correction factors in children with the simple obesity.
Methods: The concentrations of fasting serum glucose were determined
by glucose oxidation enzymes
method between 118 obese children and 118 normal controls.
Results:
Compared with control group, the levels of
blood glucose in obese group were higher, but no significant statistically.
There were difference in blood glucose levels between boys and girls .The
more severe the degree of
obesity was, the more significant the abnormanities of blood glucose were.
The obese degree is positive associated with the levels of blood glucose. It
is showed that there were significant differences in fasting glucose levels
between central and non-central obesity groups. The levels of blood glucose was corrected with
skinfold thickness and waist/ buttocks rates.
Conclusion: there is abnormality of glucose metabolism in children with the
simple obesity .It is significant in children with severe degree obesity
and central obesity.
