THE USING OF IMMUNEMODULATOR THYMALIN WITH
PATHOLOGY OF CHILDREN’S THYMUS

Thymomegaly is one of the most spreaded
pathology of children’s thymus, it causes for death and is the precede factor
of pneumonia.
Objective: There was done the clinical- rontgenological and laboratory
research of 68 children with thymomegaly complicated sharp pneumonia.
Besides generally accepted treatment, to 34 of them was used the
immunemodulator of thymus-thymalin -with the dose 0.2mg/ kg in 24 hours
intramuscular per day during 5-10 days.
Methods: The functional condition of thymus and hypophysis-adrenal
system was evaluated by the content of indexes of T and B immunity system
adrenocortropine hormone (ACTH) and cortisole.
Results:
At the children with thymomegaly complicated
pneumonia, treated by thymalin, the improvement of clinical currency of
disease is noted. It was observed the clinical recovery in 12-14 days, that
means faster in two times than without thymalin using.
Conclusion: The comparison of immune and hormone statuses’ parameters and
clinical- rontgenological view in the dynamic of disease indicated that
children with the thymomegaly, treated by thymalin, with the normalization
of immunity and adrenocortical system’s indicators, the clinical
-rontgenological involution of thymus observed. And also the
cardiorespiratoral and circular complications are taken faster, the
exacerbation and additional after-effect of the illness is not mentioned.
