ClINICAL STUDY ON EFFECT OF INJECTION OF DANSHEN
IN TREATING NEONATAL HYPOXIC-ISCHEMIC ENCEPHALOPATHY

Objective: To observe the effect of injection of Danshen in treating
neonatal Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy (HIE).
Methods: eighty-one newborns of HIE were randomly divided into two
groups, the 45 newborns in the treated group were treated with combination
injections of Danshen and Naohuosu and 36 newborns in the control group were
treated only with Naohuosu , every therapeutic course for both groups was
10¡ª14 days, every newborn was observed and followed up.
Results: the general effective rate in Danshen + Naohuosu group was
97.78%, which was superior to that in the Naohuosu group(86.11%£¬ P<0.05).Danshen also showed
better effects in improving clinical symptoms, lowering the serum level of
myocardial enzymes, improving the neonatal NBNA mark and lowering the rate
of unfavorable prognosis of HIE
Conclusion:
Danshen is an effective medicine in treating HIE.
