Total load dose was finished during 24 hours. Maitain dose was continued 2 d. Result: The light HIE 16 cases, the symptom recover well during 24h, Middle-serious HIE 32 cases subsided including 14 cases were convulsing when they were sent to hospital, there are 2 cases convulsed and temporal breathe stop, aftet luminal be used, The symptoms alleviated, Not only convusion was control, but also restraint of breathe was avoided . Conclusion: load dose luminal was divided into 2 groups to cure HIE of newborn. It can finished the purpose of treatment, at same time, reduce restraint of treatment. 0721
