AN OUTLOOK ABOUT THE ASTHMATIC PROPHILASTIC IN
GUANGXI FRON A SURVEY IN A SEMINAR OF ASTHMA

Objective: To understand the achievements of asthmatic prophyhastic in
Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
Methods: A questionnaire Survey was performed in the Seminar of asthma
help in 1999 in Guangxi. There were 83 candidates from 76 different
hospitals in Guangxi Region Among them, 35 candidates came from region’s
and city’s hospitals, 27 from county’s hospitals and 21 from town’s
hospitals. There were 9 vice-chief physicians, 52 visiting physicians and
22 resident physicians.
Results: The rate of the attendants from city’s, county’s and town’s
hospitals who realized the major pathological basis about the asthma which
is “the nonspecific inflammation of the air-tubes” was 80%, 66% and 33%
respectively. The ratio of the participants from city’s, country’s and
town’s hospitals who understood the best way of inhalation therapy for the
acute nonemergent attack was 88.6%, 74.1% and 38.1% respectively. There
were 55.6%kf county’s physicians and 66.7% town’s physicians who had never
heard the therapy of GINA.Whil there were only 54.3%, 33.3%, 9.5% of the
physicians from city, county and town respectively who had applied inhaked
hormane is the preventing of the attack of asthma.
Conclusions: Town’s and county’s physicians were lack of the modern
knowledge, concept and therapy about asthma. Although physicians from the
region’s, prefecture’s and city’s hospitals have a better understanding of
the modern asthma, only 54.3% city physicians applied inhaled hormone the
prophylaxis of asthma. The
findings indicate that there is a long way to go for the popularization of
the new method of the asthmatic prophylaxis only when the GINA is spread
widely to the town’s and county’s hospital does the prevention of the
asthma get better and better, because the county’s and town’s doctors shoulder
more responsibilities on this matter.
