文本框: OBSERVATION OF CURATIVE EFFECT IN A SHORT TIME IN CHILDREN WITH STAGE IV NEUROBLASTOMA USING RETINOIC ACID AND INTERFERON AS MAINTAINING TREATMENT SUN LR, LU Y, PANG XY Department of Pediatrics, Affiliated Hospital, Medical College, Qingdao University, Qingdao, China Objective: In order to reduce the side effects and enhance the effectiveness of chemotherapy for long time, we used All-trans Retinoic acid and interferon α-2b to treat stage IV neuroblastoma as maintaining treatment. Methods: Post-routine chemotherapy, 5 cases of patients had been received new therapy with All-trans Retinoic acid and interferonα-2b. They also received VP+VP16 scheme a course every 4 weeks. Total courses of treatment are 12 months. Results: (1) Neuroblastoma cells are 15--20% in bone marrow after 6 courses of CA (cyclophomide and adriamycin) scheme. (2) neuroblastoma cells are 10-15% after 6 courses of OPEC. (3) Neuroblastoma cells are 0-5% after All-trans Retinoic acid and interferonα2b, 2 cases had got complete remission more than 2 years. No significant side effects are found. Conclusion: Because combination of All-trans Retinoic acid with interferon α-2b is effective and safe, this method can be considered as maintaining therapy of stage IV nueroblastoma . 0768
