文本框: THE VARIABLE TREND OF THE MORTALITY AND DISEASE CATALOGS OF RESIDENTIAL NEWBORN IN CHENGDU CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL LAST TWO DECADES

Objective: To study the construction of disease in the hospital and the trend variation of death in newborn.
Methods: The patients whom administered in the hospital last 20 years were divided into two groups. The construction of the disease and the causes of death were analyzed by four period of year time.
Results: (1) The rate of infectious diseases was going down from 89% to 72%; (2) the incidence of jaundice patients fed with mother milk was arising to the second of noninfectious diseases; (3) the total death rate both infectious and noninfectious diseases was going down, respectively. However, the rate of noninfectious death was always higher than the infectious (for example: asphyxia, congenital malformations, premature, intracranial hemorrhage and so on).
Conclusions: (1) The total death of mother and babies in Chengdu area is improving;(2) at present, it is much difficult to cure the noninfectious diseases such as asphyxia, congenital malformations, premature, intracranial hemorrhage, and so on. It is need further to improve the medical equipment and develop new medicine and operation for the present situation.
