The “Children’s Adaptive Behavior Scale” was used to assess their adoptive behavior, significant factors influencing the development of children’s adaptive behavior were identified by multifactorial linear regression.
Results: The most prominent factors of poor adaptive behavior formation were: single child status, urban residency, the history of severe illness, male gender, poor education background of the mother and her history of abortion or still birth.
Conclusions: Children’s adaptive behavior development seems to be influenced by multiple factors. For children unfavorably influenced by those factors, particular emphasis should be considered in order to nurture their adaptive ability.
