EFFECTS OF DIAZEPAM-PARACETAMOL ENEMA TO PREVENT RECURRENCE OF
FEBRILE CONVULSION IN CHILDREN

Objective: To study the
effects of the drug of diazepam-paracetamol enema, which prevent recurrence
of febrile convulsion in children.
Methods: Diazepam-paracetamol
enema was made of diazepam injection and paracetamol enema. Each ramus
contains 5mg diazepam and 200mg paracetamol. 40 children with febrile
convulsion to our department were given 2 or 3 vami for being prepared.
When the patients` temperature was above 37.5℃, below the
age of 2 years, half a ramus was administrated by enema; below the age of 6
years, one ramus was administrated. After 6 huors, the same dosage was
administrated again, if the patients` fever hadn`t subsided.
Results: 1.There was
17 children who had febrile convulsion histories in these 40 patients,
recurrent rate of febrile convulsion was 42.5%. 2. There was no one
recurring after being administrated diazepam-paracetamol enema, effective
rate was 100%.
Conclusion: Diazepam-paracetamol
enema had the advantages of high therapy effects, easy to be made,
convenient to be used, little negative effects, and so on. It was
practicable.
