TO ANALYZE THE RESULT OF TESTS ON INTELLIGENCE AND
LEARNING ABILITY OF 279 CHILDREN WITH LEARNING DIFFICULTIES

Objective:
To probe into cause of intelligence and
learning ability state of children with learning difficulties.
Methods: Use the Raven¡¯s Standard Progressive SPM way of intelligence
testing. The tests of learning ability consist of: 1. Testing the ability
of response of eyesight, using The Beery-Buktenica Developmental Test of
Visual-Motor Integration (VMI) 2. Testing the getting attention ability,
using canceling number method. 3. Testing the range of hearing memory,
using Digit Span (D) way of C-WISC form. 4. Testing the linguistic
expressing, reading comprehension and understanding abilities with a
standard of by-school-year questions. These are divided into 0~5 six levels
in all. One who is under level 2 is abnormal.
Results:
There is 82% of tester¡¯s intelligence uppers or
equals to normal level while 18% below normal level. There is 53.7% normal
proportion in VMI, 53.25% in D, 41.9% in linguistic expressing ability,
50.5% in reading comprehension ability, 42% in understanding ability and
58% in getting attention ability.
Conclusion: The state of intelligence and the different kinds of
developments on learning ability together affect the children¡¯s study
results.
