Objective: To observe
the efficacy of treating recurrent apnea neonatorum with Naloxone.
Methods: 68 cases of
recurrent apnea apnea neonatorum were treated from 1997 to 2000. They were
randomly divided into two groups, Naloxone group (36 cases) and control
group (32 cases). In Naloxone group, everyone was treated with Naloxone
firstly in a dose of 0.1mg/kg, iv. Then the same whole dose of Naloxone was
added into 5 to 100ml glucose solution, iv drip in a dose of
2.5-10ug/(kg·h) continuously. 32 cases of control group were treated with
Aminophylline, the first dose was 5mg/kg, iv drip within 20 minutes, 12
hour later, iv drip with a lower dose of 2.5mg/kg, once per 12 hours. Both
of the two groups were treated with the measures such as inhaling oxygen,
ammenting the acidosis, complementing enough humour and the primary affection
was also treated at the same time.
Results: In 36 cases
of Naloxone group and 32 cases of control group the remission cases,
partial remission cases and stable cases were 22, 11, 3 and 16, 7, 9
respectively.
Conclusions: The total
efficacy rate in Naloxone group was 91%, but in control group it was only
71%. The differences between the two groups were significant (p<0.05).
It was showed that the clinical value of treating recurrent apnea
neonatorum with Naloxone was obvious.
