Objective: To study the
electrode position of EKG monitoring in Pediatrics in order to obtain the
monitoring waveforms that are similar to EKG due to standard leads.
Methods: Applying
modified Einthoven Triangle, resistance method and EKG standard leads
method to give EKG monitoring in 240 illness children, dividing the
monitoring waveforms into different groups by ages and diseases and then
comparing them with each other.
Results: The P-QRS-T
waveforms, time, electric pressured, frequency, arrythm and abnormal
waveforms by Modified Einthoven Triangle were quite similar to EKG due to standard
leads. The P-QRS-T waveforms,
time, frequency by Resistance Method were similar to EKG due to standard
leads, but there were a little bit higher electric pressure by Resistance
method and significantly different abnormal waveforms compared with EKG due
to standard leads. Application
of both Modified Einthoven Triangle and Resistance Method were not
influenced by the age and diseases of patients.
Conclusions: With monitoring Electrodes placed as
Modified Einthoven Triangle, waveforms similar to EKG due to standard leads
could be obtained. By which,
not only it can help doctors and nurses to discover the change of EKG as
soon as possible, but also provide reliable evidences for doctors to give
diagnosis and administration in time.
It is worth of expanding widely.
