Objective: To determine the serological markers in children with HBV infection.
Methods: 1547 samples were obtained for HbsAg, anti-HBs, HbeAg, anti-Hbe, and anti-HBc testing with ELISA. And PCR of HBV DNA was also performed on 30 samples.
Results: 13 different models were found, which could be divided into two groups: infection modle group (IMG) and recovery modle group (RMG). In IMG, modle of HbsAg, HbeAg and anti-HBc, known as ‘major three positives’, was of predominance, accounting for 51.32% (156/304). HBV DAN was defected from 13 sera of ‘major three positives’ cases with its positive rate of 23.08% (3/13).
Conclusion: Model of ‘major three positives’ is a leading one in children with HBV infection, as the results suggest.
