文本框: THE CHANGE OF PLASMA ENDOTHELIN IN CHILDREN WITH THE THYROID DISEASE LIU XIA LI Ch-R Shenzhen Children’s Hospital, Shenzhen, China Objective： In this study, we analyzed the change of plasma endothelin-1(ET-1) in children with hyperthyroidism, chronic lymphocytic thyroiditis (Hashimoto’s thyroiditis HT) and simple goiter with the relationship of free triiodothyroxine (FT3) and free thyroxin (FT4). Methods：Plasma ET-1,FT3,FT4 were detemined by radio-immunoassay in 30 hyperthyroidism cases,14 HT cases and 18 simple goiter cases and compared with the 15 normal children. Results：The ET-1 level in hyperthyroidism was remarkable higher than those in controls, (p<0.001) and no significant difference of ET-1 levels in the HT and the simple goiter, (p>0.05). Conclusions：The study indicated that a positive correlation with the concentration of ET-1 and thyroxine might generate of hyperthyroidism .The level of ET-1 .may have a quite value in diagnosis the mild and severe degree of hyperthyroidism and the kind of the thyroid diseases in children. 0953
