Objective: To explore the clinic value on Nitrogen monoxide (NO) in pulmonary
hypertension in congenital heart disease (CHD) with shunts from left to
right.
Methods: ⑴ To detect the
pulmonary artery(PA) pressure in CHD, divide the patients with CHD into the
pulmonary
hypertension (PH) group (n=52) and the non pulmonary hypertension (NPH) group(n=11);⑵The concentrations of NO were measured
in superior vena cava (SVC) and PA in the PH group and the NPH group, also
in the vein in the control group(n=25).
Results: ⑴There were significant
differences between the PH group and the NPH group, the control group,
there was no significant difference between the NPH group and the control
group; ⑵There were significant
differences between the any two groups in the mild PH group, the mid-degree
PH group and the severe PH group.
Conclusion: There
was a close correlation between the change of the level of NO and
pneumoangiogram lesion, detecting the serum level of NO can estimate the
degree of pulmonary hypertension in congenital heart disease.
