文本框: The Skin: Insight into Systemic Disease
HONIG P
Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania USA

Specific skin conditions are key diagnostic markers of systemic disease, which necessitates further evaluation. By observing the signs presented in the skin, the clinician has an insight into the diseases of other body systems. This presentation will discuss the associated findings and conditions (glaucoma, seizures, cranial and spinal dysraphism) that a physician should evaluate for in children who present at birth with facial port wine stains, facial cutis marmorata telangletaticum congenital and large facial hemangiomas (PHACE Syndrome). Additionally, the hair collar sign and lumbosacral hemangiomas will be reviewed.
