Objective: To determine and analyze the effects of proliferation appoptosis and necrosis on HL-60 cells induced by different concentration of cytochrome C.
Methods: HL-60 cells were stimulated with different concentration of cytochrome C. The effect of cytochrome C on HL-60 cells were determined by flow cytometry and eletrophoresis. The appropriate concentration and the interactive time of cytochrome C were also performed.
Results: Different concentration of cytochrome C could induce effects of proliferation, apoptosis and necrosis on HL-60 cells. Concentration of cytochrome C in proliferation and necrosis was <0.94 ug/ml and >28.13 ug/ml, respectivly. And the appropriate concentration of cytochrome C in apoptosis was 9.38ug/ml-22.5 ug/ml. The appropriate interactive time was 24 hour.
Conclusions: A certain concentration of cytochrome C can induce apoptosis of HL-60 cells. Being a kind of apoptosis inducers of lukemic cells, cytochrome C may be used widely in clinical therapy in the future.
