TREATMENT OF
APLASTIC ANEMIA IN CHILDREN WITH FU FANG ZAO FAN VAN

Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of Chines
medicine FU FANG ZAO FAN VAN in treatment of aplastic anemia (AA) in
children.
Methods: Sixteen patients of AA, ranging age from
2 years to 14 years, were treated with FU FANG ZAO FAN VAN and stanozolol
for 9 to 12 months and twelve patients just only given stanozolol were
divided into group A (treatment group) and group B (control group).
Results: In group A and group B, the cases of
almost recover, remission, obviously improved and failed to respond to
treatment were 4 and 1, 5 and 2 , 4 and 2, 3 and 7, respectively. The
effective rates in group A and group B was 81.3% and 41.7%, respectively
(p<0.05). The hemoglobin level and white blood count were much higher in
group A than in group B at 6 and 9 months later (p<0.05, p<0.01).
Only 2 cases had slight inappectency and constipation.
Conclusion: Fu Fang Zao Fan Van is an effective
Chinese medicine for treatment children’s AA. Stanozolol Using with Fu Fang Zao Fan Van help for
advancing curative effect.
