Text Box: THE CAUSES ANALYSES OF CHILDREN WITH STATUS ASTHMATICUS IN DALIAN AREA Wang WL, Cui ZZ, Zheng J, Pan SL Dalian Children’s Hospital, Dalian, China Objective: Analyzed the causes of children with status asthmaticusin to prevent from the worsened factors and decrease the morbidity or mortality Methods: Restrospectively analysed 31cases with status asthmaticus in recent two years. Results: In the 31 cases,1 patients complicated by mediastinal emphysema,1 girl died. Worsened factors :simple infection (9 cases), simple allergen (3 cases), infection and allergen (19 cases). Conclusions: All of 31 children with status asthmaticus had characteristic:① all had worsened factors; ② these patients had not receved systemic management at home; ③ and were not given proper treatment in hospital; ④ children with asthma should be managed by GINA. 1061
