CLINICAL RESEARCH OF β2-MG IN CEREBROSPINAL FLUID (Cβ2-MG) ABOUT DYNAMICALLY ABSERVATION OVER CHILDHOOD  ACUTE LYMPHOCYTIC LEUKEMIA (CALL)

Objective: To observe the variety of CALLCβ2-MG different in recovering period.

Methods: Cβ2-MG of the CALL group composed of 8 cases experiencing from remission induction to complete remission 2~3 years is compared with that of the control group composed of 18 epilepsy cases by radio-immunization using the wide-rang testing box provided by China Actomic Scientific Research Institute .

Results: Compared with control group (867.67±96.78 ng/ml), Cβ2-MG of CALL group obviously rises (p<0.01) before treatment (1778.50±669.23 ng/ml),and reaches the highest point during the first week (2294.13±1118.50 ng/ml) of induction period ,it gradually rolls off at the second week and is in the normal rang (p>0.05) during the consolidation, outer marrow prophylaxis and early strengthening period. After being treated, CALL group isn’t obviously different from the control group before intrathecal chemotherapy (IT) in early strengthening period or after it in consolidation and obviously lower than the control group before remission period IT or after it. the whole Cβ2-MG isn’t obviously different from the control group before IT or after it.

Conclusion: These data show that central nervous system infiltration’s Cβ2-MG in the subclinical state before treatment  rises after the first IT, then it rolls off and reaches the normal level during outer marrow prophylaxis and early strengthening period. Its great decrease during remission period shows the disease has been controlled at the lower level, which is good for the sick children’s long-term survival and is important for directing treatment , judging the prognosis and providing a monitoring means.
