Objective: To investigate the effection of “Yin Zhi Huang injection” (anti-hepatitis-jaundice injection with Oriental Wormwood and Capejasmine) on unconjugated hyperbilirubinemia.
Method: Sixty neonatal patients (male 38 and female 22, with postnatal age ranged between 1 day to 10 days) were divided randomly into two groups. The control group (n=30) was treated with regular anti-hyperbilirubinemia therapy sush as phototherapy, albumin and natrium bicarbonicum injection, intravenous IgG and prednisone were gived in hemolytic disease, the treatment group (n=30) with “Yin Zhi Huang injection ”besides the regular therapy. Minibilirubin was detected everyday.
Results: The decreasing rate of bilirubin in treatment group (3.36±1.41 day) were almost the same with those in the controls (3.83±2.02 day, p>0.05), and in short time (<1hour) after “anti-hepatitis-jaundice injection with Oriental Wormwood and Capejasmine” injection the levels of minibilirubin (15.91±1.98 mg/dl) were significantly higher than before (13.86±2.44 mg/dl, p<0.05).
Conclusions: “anti-hepatitis-jaundice injection with Oriental Wormwood and Capejasmine” can’t promote the decrease of neonatal jaundice.
