Objective: to evaluate the clinical application of the cardic function and the pulmonary artery pressure in newborn with Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy (HIE) by color Doppler.
Methods: The cardic function and pulmonary artery pressure was detected in 54 patients with HIE and 32 normal subjects. The left ventrlcular fraction (LVEF), left veutricular fraction shortening (LVFS), milder moverments of inter veutricular septum and left ventricular posterior wall (IVPW), pulmonary acceleration time (ACT), right ventricular ejection time (RVET) and LPEP, LVET, RPEP, RVET was measured.
Results: In HIE group,LVEF was (55.5±2.2), LVFS was (27±0.82), IVPW was (2.5±0.34)mm, ACT was (45.75±1.06)ms, LVEF, LVFS, LVPW were much lower than those in normal group (p<0.01), MVA/E was (1.5±0.067), LPEP / LVET was (0.45±0.21), RPEP/RVET was (0.44±0.09), RPEP/ACT was (10.37±0.31), MPAP was (7.28±0.64)kpa. The MVA/E, PEP/RVET, RPEP/RVET, MPAP were markedely higher than those in normal group (p<0.01).
Conclusions: Evaluation cardic function and pulmonary artery pressure in newborns with HIE by color Doppler Echoardiography is effective and sensible.
