There was conducted a study of functioning of the
interferon system at 108 children with atopic bronchilal asthma (BA) at the
age of 2-4 years. In the control group were included 10 healthy babies. We
investigated the interferon status (method of Grigoryan S.) and serum
concentrations of IFN-gamma (IFN) (ELISA). There were shown
decreasing of the IFN-producing ability of leukocytes to the synthesis of
IFN at 50% and IFN at 84% of children with BA.
Serum level of IFN of children with BA during all period of
illness in comparing to the babies without predisposition to the atopy
(94,9?0,3 pg/ml and 192,3?,8 pg/ml accordingly) was authentically
decreased. Production of
IFN increased effectively after using viferon and arbidol.
Decreased ability to the gamma-interferonogenesis at the most children was
resistant to the action of immunomodulators. There was shown a role of
exposed interferon system’s
dysfunction in the development of atopy i! nflammation; besides, in the
increasing of predisposition to the respiratory infections and to the
persistent of untypical infections at children with BA.
