of Asthma model and airway remodeling in SD rat

Objective: To explore possibility of preparation
Asthma model in SD rat and to study mechanism of airway remodeling.
Material and Methods: 36 SD rats were
studied. Aerosol inhalation sensitized OVA to airway in SD rats. First,
vital labeled 5-Bradu, then double-immunohistochemical method was used to
study synthesis of DNA of epithelial cell and airway smooth muscle. The
thickness of epithelial cell and airway smooth muscle was detected by
pathological methods.
Results: Synthesis rats of DNA of epithelial cell and
airway smooth muscle increased in Asthma model of SD rats compared to controls.
Pathological examination showed proliferation of epithelial cell, airway
smooth muscle and collagenous fiber.
Conclusions: It is possible to have an Asthma model in SD rat and
the synthesis of DNA of epithelial cell and airway smooth muscle is important
for airway remodeling in SD rats.
