ALLERGY ANALYSIS IN 4427 ASTHMATIC CHILDREN IN NORTH
OF CHINA

Objective: To
investigate allergy septum in asthmatic children in north of china.
Methods:
Reactivity to 18 kinds of allergy was judged according to wheel of skin
prick test. Histamine was used as positive control.
Results:
Positive rate of allergy was 58.6% in all, and it became higher and higher
as child got older and older. The first five of most common allergy were
dermatophagoides farinae, house dust, polyvalent molds II, I, III, prevalence were 50.0%,
49.1%, 39.3%, 36.5% and 22.0% respectively. Pollen, mulberry silk, tobacco
smoke, animal further and cotton mattress were only second. Prevalence of 3
or more + was 21.2%, and it became higher and higher as child got older and
older. Intensity of 3 or more
+ was related to the kind of allergy, artemisia pollen was 29.9%, summer
pollen 16.7%, mulberry silk 15.3%,dermatophagoides farinae1.5% and, house
dust 1.7%.
Conclusion: The
major allergy in asthmatic children in north of
china were dermatophagoides farinae, house dust, molds and pollen.
Prevalence and intensity of allergy became higher and higher as child got
older and older. The allergenic of artemisia pollen, summer pollen, and
mulberry silk was very strong.
