Objective: Research on the
complications of Meckel’s diverticulum in order to elevate the diagnosis
and treatment level of it.
Methods: To analysis retrospectively 76 cases of complications of
Meckel’s diverticulum.
Results: Among them ,intestinal obstruction is 24 cases(31%).
Haemorrhage of diverticulum is 25 cases(33%). Diverticulitis is 27 cases(36%).Operation Method:
Diverticulum wedge resection and enterectomy are 19 and 57 cases,
respectively. Pathological examination show that 31 cases have ectopic
tissue.
Conclusion: Complications of
diverticulum are always manifested as acute abdomen. The manifestation often
occurred in infants and it is likely to be misdiagnosed.Intestinal
obstruction, haemorrhage of diverticulum and diverticulitis are common
complications, all about one third of the total.Confirmed diagnosis rate of 99mTcO4-γimaging is 32% for
haemorrhage of diverticulum.Ectopic tissue and morpho rage character are
the main pathological mechanism.Foreign body insertion can cause
inflammation and perforation. 99mTcO4-γ imaging can be a specific
examination for Meckel’s diverticulum.
