Research on the function of MDR1 gene in blood-testis barrier of testis malignant tumor

Objective: To research on the mechanism of blood-testis barrier of testis malignant tumor in order to choose effective anticancer drugs and reverse the multidrug resistance (MDR)
Methods: Use P-plycoprotein (P-gp) monoclonal antibody JSB1 to combine with the immunohistochemical method to measure the position and intensity of P-gp on different cells of malignant tissues of testis.

Results: The expression rate and intensity of P-gp on endothelial cells of capillaries in tumor tissue was much higher than that on tumor cells (P<0.01).

Conclusions: The mechanism of blood-testis barrier is that there is a high expression of MDR1 gene on the endothelial cells of capillaries in tumor tissue instead of tumor cells.
