Objective: To find out the method
of prescription , the dosage ,the effect and safety of Lipid Microspheres
Prostaglandin E1 Injection(Lipo
PGE1)on
reduceing total serum bilirubin (TBi), alaline aminotransferase
(ALT) and side-effects in pediatric patients (especially in infantile
ones).
Methods: All the 84 patients with
Infantile Hepatitis Syndrome enrolled from July 1999 to August 2000, and
were randomized either into Lipo PGE1 or control group. The
efficacy were evaluated with biochemical (TBi and ALT) parameters.
Results: After 8.65 days of
treatment averagely, Lipo PGE1 revealed well curative effect on
lowering TBi (p<0.05), but ALT
showed no significant difference in two groups (p>0.05). The sideeffects appeared in a part of cases.
Conclusion: Lipo PGE1 indeed has a sound efficacy
in bringing down TBi , we recommend to keep its dosage in 5ug/d, and its
density at a range of 0.15~0.2ug/mL
by intravenous instilation slowly,with
a good tolerance and safety.
