Text Box: AN ANALYSIS OF THE EFFECT OF SHORT-TERM CHEMOTHERAPY OF TUBERCULOSIS CHILDREN

Objective: To explore the effectiveness of short-term chemotherapy of tuberculosis children.
Methods: 85 cases of tuberculosis children were treated with short-term therapy and the effect was observed.
Result: The total effective rate was of 95.2%, fatality rate was of 2.4%, and recurrent rate was of 2.4%, Short-term chemotherapy had some advantage such as a higher effective rate, lower recurrent rate and less side action.
Conclusion: The result shown that the short-term chemotherapy was an effective method to treat tuberculosis children.
