Text Box: INFLUENCE OF HUANG QI INJECTION LIQUID ON GROWTH OF GRANULOCYTE-MONOCYTE PROGENITORS IN FETAL CORD BLOOD Liu WJ, Zhang YC, Guo Y, Guo QL Department of Pediatrics, Affiliated Hospital of Luzhou Medical College , Sichuan, China Objective: To investigate the effect of Huang QI injection liquid on growth of Granulocyte-monocyte progenitors (GM-CFUc) in fetal cord blood. Methods: with the use of culture in vitro technique of GM-CFUc, 20 Cases treated by Huang Qi injection Liquid were studied to observe it’s influence on GM-CFUc growth. Results: ①The production rate of GM-CFUc colonies and clusters in Huang Qi group was significantly higher than that of control group(P<0.01); ②The production of big colonies in Huang Qi group was significantly higher than that of control groups (P<0.01); ③The peak of GM-CFUc colonies appeared on the 6th~9th day, the difference was not significant between Huang Qi group and control group. But the lasting time of GM-CFUc colonies of control group was shorter than that of Huang Qi group (P<0.01). Conclusion: Huang Qi injection Liquid could possibly promote the proliferation of GM-CFUc in vitro, It indicates that Huang Qi injection liquid possesses enhancement of hematopoiesis. 1870
