Text Box: INVESTIGATION OF THE REQUIREMENT OF 0~12 YEARS OLD CHILDREN FOR CHILD COMMUNITY HEALTH CARE

Objective: To put children hygiene into primary health care pattern in order to promote child growth efficiently and improve the long-term population quality.
Methods: Community health care networks were sampled randomly from XinCheng, LianHu , YanTa and BeiLin district in Xi'an. And1825 children at the age of 0~12 in the networks were visited door by door. 
Results: ① 611 children adopted 10 measures of health care, with the percentage of 33.48 in the visited children.1209 children adopted no measures of health care, with the percentage of 66.25 in the visited children. ② 1311 children required the community health care 10 measures, with the percentage of 71.68 in the visited children , while 511 children did not require it,. with the percentage of 28.02 in the visited children. ③ The requirement of health care correlated positively with the educational level of parents .④ The younger the children were ,the more health care were needed.
Conclusions: It is imperative to establish a more profound, systematic and ruled community health care pattern of children.
