文本框: BEHAVIOR PROBLEMS IN BATTERED OBESE CHILDREN

Objective: It is to in an obese battered children group.
Method: Observant, prospective, transversal and descriptive survey of 120 children with maltreatment signs and symptoms were studied; indicators were classified into four groups: first one those related to the child’s family; second group the family’s attitudes against the child, third group considers his behavior problems and in the fourth it’s considered organic and physical child’s problems.
Results: Parents delay for medical attention, the child lives with a stepfather, hostility into the familiar environment. There is lack of affection to the child, parents do not recognize his profits, indifference and avoid his socialization opportunities. Sleep problems, fears, aggressiveness and learning school problems. Immunization plan was not up to date, constipation, bulimia and short stature. 
Conclusion: It is demonstrated that searching behavior problems in this kind of patients without an apparent maltreatment history it’s possible to exhibit anxiety and depression problems might be more frequently in obese battered children.
