EVALUATION OF SEGMENTED ARCHWIRE TECHNIQUE ON INDIVIDUAL TEETH CROSSBITE OF
CHILDREN MIXED DENTIT

Objective: To evaluate on
the methods of using segmented archwire technique to treat individual teeth
crossbite of children mixed dentition.
Methods: Twelve children
(aged 9-10 years, male 4, female 8 ) with permanent incisor teeth crossbite
(may be also rotating, tipping, crowding) were included .Edgewise brackets
were used bending on the teeth .
Results: All malocclusions
got corrected in 6 weeks on average.
Conclusion: Segmented archwire technique can treat
individual teeth crossbite of children mixed dentition safely and rapidly,
It is a excellent therapy especially for some crossbite teeth with
rotating, tipping, slight crowding .It is effective and easy acceptable by
children.
