Objective: To prevent brain injury caused by bilirubin, neonatal hyperbilirubinemia must be redressed early and effectively.
Methods: Clostridium butyricum miyairi and simotang oral liquid were administered together with conventional treatment.
Results: Bilirubin level of treatment group (121cases)decreased by a average of (51.09 ¡À25.32)µmol/L a day, which was obviously higher than that of control group (61 cases) [(36.97¡À21.43) µmol/L].
Conclusion: With clostridium butyricum miyairi and simotang oral liquid treating neonatal jaundice, serum bilirubin level could be lowered rapidly and treatment time could be shortened obviously.
