Text Box: NEW APROACH IN SURGICAL CORRECTION OF EXSTROPHYA VESICAE IN CHILDREN AND YOUNG ADULTS

The surgical correction of exstrophy of the bladder being adopted by us which consist of uretero-intestinal formation on isolated sigmoid intestine Roux procedure, in this method, to the efferent loop of large intestine, there is additional creation of antireflux invagination. On this method, three patients were operated, to two of the patients aged 1 year old, we did Michaelson’s procedure, to third patient, 1 year old, transplantation of the ureters Maydl procedure was done, in 6 years Chepurn operation was done. The patients were followed up for 2 years, and satisfactory improvement of the patients were noted without clinical features of pyelonephritis. Therefore, we think that, our surgical method of correcting exstrophya of the bladder relatively yields satisfactory long term results.
