Objective: The paper is due to provide reliable supports for decreasing neonates’ death and deformity rate, through observing the clinical curative effect of suffocation resuscitation.

Methods: From January 1997 to January 2001, the hospital has took in and rescued 46 suffocated neonates, meanwhile giving the pregnant women effective treatments.

Results: Among them 40 babies were recovered fully; 2 had favorable turns; 1 left the hospital; 3 died; and the success rate of rescue is 91.7%.

Conclusion: In order to guarantee enough heartbeat output, restoring neonates’ self-controlled breath and establishing normal circulation is necessary. Raising Apgar score and reducing suspension time of breath, heartbeat and serious suffocation could decrease the harm to brain and death rate. The co-operation and joint-effort of pediatricians gynecologists in the resuscitation is a practical measure.
