Xuyen, Nguyen Hoang Yen Tran Hung Dao General Hospital, Vietnam Objective:
of this study was to investigate clinical
pictures and laboratory examinations in children suffering from Dengue
haemorrhage fever (DHF) with liver function disorders. Subject
and method: 42 children with clinical DHF
and confirmed by MAC-ELISA were included in this study. Liver function disorders
were accessed by following parameters: SGOT, SGPT, Gros, Maclacgan were
performed by Hitachi 704.Blood cell count were performed by CD-1700.
Laboratory examinations were performed when admitted and convalescent
period. Results:
Clinical and laboratory examination were
performed for 42 children with DHF and we realised that: 76.8% of them had
an increase of SGOT, 64.3% had an increase of SGPT. OF children patients
with liver function disorders had high prevalence of haemorrhage, swelling
liver, abdominal pain and early manifestation of shock comparing with
patient group who had no function disorders (p<0.05 and p<0.01
respectively). Some haematological disorders such as serious decrease of
white blood cell count (<4.0 G/L) and platelet (<100 G/L)were also
noticed in group who had manifestation of liver function disorders. Conclusion: Liver function disorders was a serious symptom
in children with DHF and may lead to manifestations of shock. Intensive
cares for these patients were needed and very important.
