A STUDY ON MONITORING AND INTERVENTION OF IMP AND FIMR IN BEIJING (1992~2000) Wang Huishan, Xue Yuan, Yan Shujuan,

the changing trend of IMR (Infant Mortality Rate) and FIMP (Fetal and
Infant Mortality Rate). Methods: To analyze
the data for monitoring infants of 590 833 in Beijing during 1990~2000. Results: IMR were
reduced from 12.42‰ to 6.84‰ and FIMR were reduced from 19.43‰ to 15.79‰ in 1992 to 2000.IMR and FIMR were showed
decreasing trend significantly in three period of 1992~1994,1995~1997,1998~2001(p<0.01),but the decreasing rang of IMR
was large(48%).IMR was higher in rural area than in city .Special rate of
pnemonia was reduced in three period from 2.30‰ to 0.59‰ and the congenital heart disease was changed
into the first reason of infant deaths. Conclusion: The intervention measure practiced of reducing
IMR were effective in Beijing in 1992~2000.We should devoted attention to FIMR and congenital heart
disease further.
