ANALYSIS OF 104 CHILDREN WITH EPILEPSY Sun Gui Dept. of Pediatrics, the First People’s
Hospital, Lianyungang, Jiangsu Province, China Objective: To
investigate the pathogenesis and clinical curative effect of 104 children
with epilepsy. Methods: All 104
children with epilepsy were examined by EEG, 82 Cases (78.8%) had
distinctive changes, part of the patients were examined by CT, according to
the CT scan, 9 newborn babies (8.7%) with brain hypoxic-ischemie injury, 10
cases (9.5%) with intracranial hemorrhage. Results: All 104
cases (male 63 cases. Female 41 cases, the age was from 3 months to 13
years), 65 cases (62.5%) with tonic-clonic seizures, 14 cases (19.5%) with
infantile is spasms 9 cases (8.7%) with partial seizures, 9 cases (8.7%)
with absence seizures, 7 cases (6.7%) with partial autonomic seizures. Does
it mostly occur in the infants whose age is younger than 1 year, but
tonic-clonic seizures may occur in any ages. Conclusion: We chose
corresponding drugs to treat the different types of epilepsy, by more than
6 months treatment, 80 patients (76.9%) got complete free or good curative
effect, 24 patients (23.1%) didn’t get good control.
